Conflict Minerals Declaration

Last Updated on 1st September 2020 Version 1.4

Raman Electricals is committed to Sourcing Components and Materials from Companies that share our values of Human Rights, Ethics and Environmental Responsibility. We expect all our suppliers to abide by the requirements of our Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits Human Rights Abuses and Unethical Practices. We also require all our suppliers to comply with Applicable Legal and Regulatory Standards and Requirements.

The definition of “conflict minerals” refers to Gold (Au), as well as Tin (Sn), Tantalum (Ta), and Tungsten (W), the derivatives of Cassiterite, Columbite-tantalite, and wolframite, regardless of where they are sourced, processed or sold.

Conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) are sometimes mined and sold”, under the control of armed groups”, to “Finance conflict characterized by extreme levels of violence”. Some of these minerals can make their way into the supply chains of the products used around the world, including those in the electronics industry.

In response to violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from the “Conflict Region”, which is situated in the eastern portion of the democratic republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries, the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has adopted rules to implement reporting and disclosure requirements related to “conflict minerals”, as directed by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. The rules require manufacturers who file certain reports with the SEC to disclose whether the products they manufacture or contract to manufacture certain “conflict minerals” that are “necessary to the functionality or production” of those products.

We support the Humanitarian goal of ending violence, human rights violations and environmental devastation in the DRC and adjoining Countries.

  • Raman Electricals is committed to the responsible sourcing of “Conflict Minerals” throughout our supply chain and to continuing to comply with requirements applicable to our company under the Conflict Minerals rule surrounding Conflict Minerals.
  • Raman Electricals will assist our Customers in implementing their conflict minerals programs and strive to work cooperatively with our customers and supply chain partners in implementing Conflict Minerals Compliance Programs.
